turbot- the fish may survive out of the water for a varying length of time, if you are trying to keep it alive then i wouldn't advise keeping it out of water more than 5 minutes max if you intend for it to be healthy upon release. However if you're looking for time until it dies, depending on its size, it may survive anywhere up to 20 minutes and beyond. Turbot may be scavengers/predators but they are remarkably hardy. However if you put in a bucket of saltwater it may survive for a couple of hours. You may also put it into freshwater for a small amount of time as many a time I've found turbot nurserys in freshwater rivers up to a mile from the sea
