A union laborer makes as of June 1st in Chicago 35.20 an hour not sure what all benefits add up to.

Depends on the amount the union and the construction company agreed on. Probably $15 an hour to start, and going up from there.(Now you know why workers that drive trucks, operate heavy equipment, cut and weld steel etc., make more money)

Depends where you are, and at what time/rate the contracted work was bid. For work bid prior to April 1 2014 and beginning anytime since Sep 2013, a flagger makes 29.25/hour. Since the work is public, you may be collecting the fringes of 22.52/hour, as well. Depends if the contractor you work for is signatory to the Laborer's union or not. If so, those fringes go to the union, if not, those fringes go directly to you.
