O.K.; that's fine but the real answer should be $80-$120/sq.ft. using conventional stick built construction in todays market.
However. you might want to consider building a Monolithic (concrete dome) that's reinforced with steel rebar. You can learn relatively easily how to do it and build them for others later, and be glad that you just built the only house on earth that CAN'T be destroyed. Cost:$65-$90/sq.ft.
Still too much? How about a hay bale house? Cost: $30-$65/sq.ft depending on amenities.
Or for around the same price, maybe a little more, maybe less, build a greenhouse, put a camper inside for the kitchen and bathroom, and enjoy your own terrarium year-round and sleep under the stars. Use the rest of your money heating the place...
