About $40 for new About $5 At The Junkyard
This is how I diagnosed my 5.4 liter coil packs, I isolated the cylinder that was misfiring and then took a know coil from a good cylinder and swapped with the suspected bad coil. When the misfire went to the specific cylinder I swapped, I replaced that coil. Note- It is advised to replace all coil packs if you can afford too! Summit and Stylin has Hi performance coils for the fraction of cost as a single cost of the dealer's price.

There is no plug wires on a J30, you just unbolt the coil pack that's on top of the spark plugs and then change your plugs, after your finnished changeing the plugs you just reinstall all the coil packs on top of the spark plugs, but becarefull you don't break any of your coil packs, they will cost you.
check the coil packs I had to replace all 6 in mine it is not hard to do you can get the coil packs at bavauto.com a new set will cost you $449.95 these are the high performance coil packs and if you dont know how to put them on you can see how to install them at www.wonderhowto.com you need to change the spark plugs too the best ones are the bosch platinum plus. good luck this took care of mine. flame-out1956@att.net
A 2004 Lincoln Aviator fuel tank holds ( 22.5 U.S. gallons ) ( so if the tank was empty , and you have to pay $ 4.00 per gallon it would cost approximately $ 90.00 )

Lincoln Town Cars are built on the same platform as the Ford Crown Victoria (the Panther Platform). To convert your Lincoln from air springs to coil springs, simply replace the Lincoln air aprings with the coil springs for a Ford Crown Victoria. (Depending on the ride you want, you can choose to either install the standard coil springs from a civilian-equiped Crown Victoria or you can install the coil springs used on the Police Interceptor version of the Crown Vic.) In addition to the coil springs, you will also need to purchase the rubber insulators to install between the car's frame and the coil spring. Simply remove your Lincoln's air spring system and install the new rubber insulators and coil springs. Many websites have detailed instructions and most "shade tree" mechanics can do the job themselves. The cost of the parts should cost no more than $125.00.
