The vet can cost $50 just to let them check your hamster out and medicine (the perscribed stuff) if they're sick can be $30 just for a little tube. My vet trip ended up over $70! well at pet smart hamsters can usually cost about $15.00 and up but if you have a membership card (pet perks card) you could get the hamsters for $12.00 or less but guinea pigs cost like $20.00 and up i think but I'm not so sure. and at Peco Ithink they were around the same as in Pet Smart.
