My "cheap" mechanic charged me a whopping $80 plus $95 for the coil (this was for a Focus). If you know it's your coil, just do it yourself. It takes about 15 minutes at the most. All you have to do is: 1) disconect negative battery cable. 2) disconect wire harness from pack. 3) pull off plug wires. 4) unscrew 4 screws, these may be torx style screws. Just reverse these steps for installing the new pack. You can get a new coil pack on Ebay for around $30.
