It depends on if you get just the front or both. Of my knowlage, shoeing the front only, is around $40-$60. All four is around $80-$120.
It all depends on where you get them done, how qualified the ferrier is, the type of shoe, and/or correcting your horse's/ pony's hooves if they are unbalanced or have some certain ailement(s).
The cost will vary from farrier to farrier and what type of shoes the pony requires. Here in the USA a farrier would likely charge the same to shoe a pony as they would a horse. You should probably expect to pay at least $100 every 6 weeks or so for a trim and new set of shoes.

Depends on where you buy it, how old the pony is, what kind of breed it is, how much experience etc. etc.

If he is in good shape and is shod, I don't think he would have a problem with a 5 or 6 mile walk in a day.
Dentists do not visit horses - vets do.

The average farrier rates are: $30 for a trim, $60 to shoe only 2 hooves and $90 for all 4 hooves to be shod.
It all depends on the conformation of the hoof and the amount of activity and stress the pony's hooves will be under. Some ponies will never need to be shod, and will only need trims while others will need to have their shoes replaced every 6 to 8 weeks. It all depends on the horse. It is best to make an appointment with your farrier to discuss options that are best for your individual horse.
