How much does a mechanic make a year?

if you are really good &up to date; you can make as much as you wont to.i would average around 100,000.00 - 180,000.00 per year. it has to be a very good new car dealership.but once you put in your time; you will start having people ask for you.it is really like being a MD; except you are running test and performing surgery on cars & trucks rather than people.if you love it ,it will be the best job you could ever have. the best thing about the job is flat rate; you can work very hard from 8:00 to 5:00; that will be 40hrs per week but i would turn any where from 100hrs to 120hrs per week x what ever dollar amount you get per hr.its like having your own business but ,no overhead.how ever; you will never stop buying tools.this & schools is what makes repairing cars & trucks so high.but remember do it right the first time.
