The biggest diamond found so far in the world is the Cullinan.

It weighed 1.5 pounds, was 37/8 inches long, 21/4 inches wide and 25/8 inches high. The diamond was sold to the Transvaal Government for 150,000 pounds in the early 1900s.

When cut, the Cullinan now exists as several fabulous stones in the British Crown Jewels, plus nine large jewelry diamonds worn by Queen Elizabeth II, which her family calls 'Granny's Chips'. Any one of these stones would sell for many millions of British Pounds Sterling if they were ever made available for sale, based on their carat-weight size, colour, clarity and cut.

From the Houston Jewelry Web site:

"Though intrinsically valued by some at somewhere around £20,000,000, the Crown Jewels are really priceless, for much of their true value lies in their symbolism and historical interest."
