Thats an incredibly stupid answer. It cost youtube around two million dollars per day to pay for all the bandwidth used by viewers and to pay all of its partners and all of its employees. I've heard a year ago the company is not yet profitable (this may have changed). Keep in mind they get 1.5 billion views per day on youtube plus all the bandwidth it takes users to upload content. I can not believe someone would think it's free to run one of the biggest websites in the world. It does not cost anything to make or run YouTube. It's completely free.
