Google bought YouTube and pays for it. With Google along with Youtube, it means that the searching for videos is much more better. Also, you can log in with your Google account.
you can but you have to send it to youtube/google and pay them to advertise your website
You never have to pay youtube unless you want to promote your video.
No, becoming a partner on YouTube does not require any sort of payment (it's supposed to be Google paying you when you become a partner). The only people who really pay to have things played on YouTube are the advertisers, who deposit an amount of money to have an advertisement campaign on YouTube.

No, but you do have to be a member of the site, however this is free. If you have a Google email account, you can also sign in using that.
Stay low
This varies by user as YouTube offers different pay-per-view options depending on the user's popularity among various other factors. Also, the 500,000 views won't earn you anything if you don't have monetization enabled or if you're not eligible for monetization. There's just too many factors to give you an exact answer on how much 500,000 views would be worth. (But my guess is that it's enough to get a big pay day from Google).
Between 2002 and 2006, there was a 50 percent of pay increase. This was an unusually high pay increase.
