You can receive energy from the sun or from a room heater, but the main source of energy to the body is from the food you eat, and after digestion this provides the nourishment that the body needs, to maintain an even temperature and have enough energy in the muscles of the body to be able to move and do actions, and to keep the brain operating. Obviously if you have too much food you store the surplus as fat.
