What happens if you OD on migraine medicine?
If you overdose on Excedrin Migraine (if you take more than 4000mg of acetaminophen, or more than 16 tablets in 24hrs), go to the emergency room as soon as possible. Taking more than 4000mg of Acetaminophen (paracetemol in the UK, and the main ingredient in Tylenol) can cause liver damage and possibly liver failure. At the ER, they will test your liver function and may give you an antidote (N-Acetyl-Cysteine). If you receive the antidote within 4 hours of the last ingestion you may be able to ward off significant liver damage. The amount of tablets a 150lb man or woman would need to overdose on the aspirin component of Excedrin is much higher than the acetaminophen. About 40 tablets. The acetaminophen overdose becomes the primary concern, because at 16-20 tablets you may be causing liver damage. Not all the Excedrins have exactly the same amount of ingredients in them. Excedrin Extra Strength and Excedrin Migraine are the same. Excedrin PM and Excedrin Tension Headache have 500mg of acetaminophen per caplet. Make sure you are taking all acetaminophen containing products into account, including things like Nyquil.

This depends how much Excedrin Migraine or how much Dayquil you are having. Both Excedrin (Extra Strength or Migraine) and Dayquil contain acetaminophen (Tylenol). An overdose of acetaminophen can cause liver damage, sometimes liver failure. You should not be taking more than 1000mg of acetaminophen in a six hour period of time, and no more than 4000mg in a 24 hour period. Each tablet of Excedrin Extra Strength or Excedrin Migraine contains 250mg of acetaminophen. So, each dose contains 500mg. Each tablet of Dayquil contains 325mg of acetaminophen. Each dose contains 650mg. It is up to you to add up what you are taking so that you are not taking more than is recommended. If you think you may have overdosed on acetaminophen, seek emergency care. The sooner they are able to treat you, the more likely it is they can help save your liver.

Can you take Ativan and Ritalin together?
Some people are able to take Ritalin and Excedrin together, some are not. Several different formulations of Excedrin (Excedrin Extra Strength, Excedrin Migraine, Excedrin Back & Body) have three different ingredients: Acetaminophen (Tylenol) Aspirin (a non-steroidal-anti-inflammatory) Caffeine (one dose = 2 tablets = 2 cups of coffee) Ritalin is a stimulant medication. Some people will be able to handle taking Ritalin along with extra caffeine in their diet (on top of any caffeine-based drinks they already intake - coffee, soda, Red Bull and other various energy drinks). Always speak to your doctor. Note: There is always the option of matching whatever dose of acetaminophen and aspirin you would be taking from the Excedrin, and leaving out the extra caffeine.
