How much food per day should you feed your cockatiel?

Unless you feed the cockatoo with a specific amount of bird seed, then three times a day should be perfectly fine.

If you do not feed the cockatoo with a specific amount of bird seed, keep his bowl or plate full of seed for him/her to eat from.

Seeds or pellets must be given every day (around 1.5-2 tablespoons), and they should be supplemented with a daily helping of fresh fruit and vegetables. You could also include egg food around once a week for an extra boost of vitamins and minerals. Drinking water must be changed regularly.
