I was just at the local dealer to have my 1991 Mark 7 serviced and asked the service person the same thing. My car seems to go into neutral if I drive it with the "OD". He told me that it would cost about $250 to have the transmition serviced. Just to change the fluids and such. Then if I needed it, $1600 to have the transmition rebuilt. If I were to buy a new transmition from them and then have a warranty on the new transmition, it would cost about $3500. I only have 80k miles on the car and figure I may as well try the least expensive option first. I have read on other message boards that my problem isn't unique and that getting the service done plus having them replace a cable for the OD is the fix.
The cost of the repair of a transmission depends on the what is wrong with it. It could range from about $100 to several thousand if it needs to be replaced.
I had my transmission rebuilt on my 2004 Mountaineer. I believe it cost around $1800
The cost to fix a gear shift solenoid will depend on whether or not the work can be done without lowering the transmission. On most vehicles, this requires the transmission to be unbolted from the motor. This can cost between $500 and $1,000 because of the man hours needed for this type of job.
i dont know what type of transmission you have but i had mine done in a 1999 dodge caravan with overdrive and it cost me 1200.00 dollars. that depends what is wrong with it but a ford pickup transmission will cost about 2000 dollars, dodge and chev are higher
This depends on a lot of things. What kind of car it is, what kind of transmission, what seal or gasket is bad, give us something to work with here.
The price varies, depending on who is doing the work and the quality of materials that they use. Contact some local transmission shops and your local Saturn dealer for an answer to your question.
How much it cost other fix a trans axle on plymouth voyager
Depending on where you go, nywhere from $1800-$4000 At a Honda dealership it will cost you $3,500 to have the old one removed and a new one installed. There was a recall on this transmission to fix a problem with the lubrication of one of the bearings.
not much
Most likely you will have to change transmission... Or you can hire a mechanic to fix it for you but it will cost somewhere in between $1-3K.
It will usually run you about 1800 for a full replacement
Depends on the problem. Is it still under warranty? Drive train warranties are for 5 years or 60,000 miles.
