It depend on friction and other forces against motion
to gain mechanical advantage. So you dont need to apply as much force to move something. A pulley halves the ammount of force needed, but you need to pull a rope twice as far to move the object the same distance.
You need Potential (stored) Energy
because you need the force to move it over some distance
due to friction.

Contrary to both intuition AND Aristotle, objects do NOT need a force to continue moving. If an object has no force on it whatsoever, it will continue to move in exactly the way it has before. Satellites continue in circular orbits because there is (pretty much) no friction on them.

The force of gravity makes the ball move downward. To move it upward, you need to supply enough force to compensate for this (to stop the downward motion) plus a little extra (to cause the ball to move upward).
You need a Pokemon with the move Rock Smash.

If the force is not greater than the weight of the bale, the bale will not move.
you need a stone chizzil
Not necessarily. An object doesn't need a force to move, only to CHANGE its velocity. In empty space, an object can continue moving indefinitely without any force.
How much cement sand and stone do you need for 1 cubic meter of concre
640000 stone
It depends on how you want to move it. To lift it, the force will need to be greater than the weight of the elephant. To push it, you will need sufficient force to both displace its mass and overcome the friction between the elephant's feet or body and the surface it rests on. I think before I did anything else, I'd entice it with an apple. Dead elephants I leave to Phyicists who have nothing better to do.
