The reset switch for me is a button to the left of the steering wheel facing diagonally downward. It has the symbol on it that resembles the dashboard indicator light. Hold his down until the light blinks 3 times, then release. If you hold it down and the light only disappears, that's not really resetting the light.
The S light blinks to inform you of a malfunction picked up by the TCU. When the A/T control unit senses an abnormality in the input or output systems, the (S) indicator light in the gauge assembly will blink. However, when the Service Check Connector (located to the lower right of the glove compartment) is connected with a jumper wire, the (S) indicator light will blink the problem code when the ignition switch is turned on. When the (S) indicator light is on, connect the two terminals of the Service Check Connector together. Then turn on the ignition switch and observe the (S) indicator light.Problem codes 1 through 9 are indicated by individual short blinks, Problem codes 10 through 15 are indicated by a series of long and short blinks. One long blink equals 10 short blinks. Add the long and short blinks together to determine the problem code.I hope this helps and good luck, if you are not a hands on person you can take the car to your local Honda dealer but it may cost you a lil more dough WEBSITE WITH DIAGRAM http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl189f.htm The S light blinks to inform you of a malfunction picked up by the TCU. I have a 2004 Odyssey. Here's what the manual has to say about the green key indicator on the instrument panel: "Immobilizer System Indicator. This indicator comes on when you turn the ignition switch to ON. It will then go off if you have inserted a properly-coded ignition key. If it is not a properly-coded key, the indicator will blink and the engine will not start. This indicator also blinks several times when you turn the ignition switch from ON to ACCESSORY or LOCK." Hope this helps!
It blinks to let people know you have an anti theft device on that car. Or at least make them think you do even if it's just for show.
To reset a LiftMaster remote, you can usually press and hold the "learn" button on the garage door opener until the indicator light blinks. Then, press and hold the button on the remote you want to reset until the light on the opener blinks again. This should reprogram the remote to work with the opener.
