it depends. maybe he/she is trying to act cool and not make it so obvious. but if it is a genuine high five like he just want a way to talk to you or something, i would think he/she thinks you are cool. but if you can tell that he/she are doing it in a condescending way like you would give a high five to someone younger than you. like "yeah, go you, high-five!" and then laughs at his/her friends, you might just be interpreting the signals the wrong way. hope it helped!
