Well......there were many different models of the Corsair. Do you have any one in particular? I have a site for you. I just have to find it.
Your best bet to finding an F4U Corsair is in a history book, encyclopedia and even a museum. The Chance Vought F4U Corsair was a plane used in the U.S. military during World War II.
from 1,805 hp. to 2800 depending on Version. The F4U-1D had 2400 hp, and the highest powered had 2800 hp, hence the engine name Pratt & Whitney R-2800 which is a double row 18-cylinder radial. PCH answer is 2000. I don't know how they came to that conclusion given the above true facts.PCH Answer: 2000. The F4U-Corsair had a 2000 hp Pratt & Whitney R-2800 air-cooled radial engine.

The Corsair was used in Europe during WWII, but only by the British Air Arm, which was their Naval Service. While the US was trying to overcome aircraft carrier landing issues, the British figured out how to safely land on a carrier by dipping on wing to slide into position before leveling off just before touch down. Note that the British rated the Corsair, Hellcat and the Wildcat superior to all of their countries' Naval aircraft during WWII. They were particularly impressed with the Hellcat due to its ease of handling, ruggedness and long range.

More or less, it was. End of World War 1, with cutting up of Eastern Europe and the Depression. Pretty much Kicked off World War 2. It is much more involved, but more or less. It is the same war.
