in the switch on the handle the coper connectors have corosion. take the switch apart and clean with a fine grade sandpaper
they never made a 2006 cbr 900. the 900 was killed off in favor of the 929rr and 954rr in 1999 i believe, then they killed the 929 and 954 for the weaker 1000RR in 2004. but Honda did made a 519 and 919 but they were toned down naked versions.
