It depends on what model the civic is. The Lx models are a 1.6 liter with 106 horsepower. The Ex models have 127 horsepower. The 1999 Si models have 160 horsepower. The Hx models have 115 horsepower. The Dx models have 106 horsepower as well. Of course all of these models are very upgradable and you can make any civic have up to 1000+ horsepower if you have the money and the time to or pay someone else to fix it up for you. Civics can be very fast. Probably the most popular ones to upgrade are the Ex and Si models since they are faster stock. I personally like the 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si model the best.
