Expressing this as factually as I can, there are little means of finding any concrete price for a diamond that has any objectivity.

It is said that it is dependent on color, cut, clarity and a variety of other factors. But the manner in which it is impossible to get the same answer from the same methods shows that there is little impartiality or neutrality in the industry standards.

The surest means to find the "worth" of the diamond that I was able to find was to contact your local pawn shop. Explain your situation and ask them what they would buy such for, versus what they would sell it for. These figures will give you a rough idea.

Note - that will be giving you the "worth" in your area. In other areas of the nation, there may be more or less "worth" to it, which does ultimately depend on market demand.
