Nairobi, because of its high altitude, is cooler than the rest of Kenya, which can be quite hot. Especially in the evening Nairobi can get a bit chilly, so you'll want to bring a light jacket or sweater. Mombasa, which is right on the Indian Ocean, is distinctly warmer than Nairobi and can be quite humid.
