The most common type of 1878 Morgan sells for $17.00-$30.00 in circulated grades
The Liberty head design was used on over several different coins in 1878. Please post a new question with the coin's denomination, with the wording "What is the value of an 1878 US (coin denomination)?" e.g. What is the value of an 1878 US silver dollar? or What is the value of an 1878 US 10 dollar gold piece.
Please check your coin again and post a new question. No silver dollars were made in 1834 and the first Liberty Head design dollars were the famous Morgan series, starting in 1878.
Money can have various values based on condition and certain stamping. An 1885 Morgan Liberty Head silver dollar can be worth between $20 and $400.
Assuming it's a more common Morgan dollar, about $13 for its silver content
It's worth at least its silver value, around $14. But you need to be more specific because some dollar coins are worth a lot more even if very worn. Please post a new question with its date and mint mark, if you can make them out. Saying "Liberty head dollar" isn't specific enough because ALL dollar coins from 1878 to 1935 had Miss Liberty's head on the front.
$60.00 to $80.00 in circulated condition.
Circulated condition $20.00 to $40.00
Please post a new question after you look at the coin again. A U.S. silver dollar dated 1850 would be of the Seated Liberty series not a Bust type or Liberty head.
There are NO US Liberty Head dollars dated 1846 but there are Seated Liberty dollars dated 1846. Consult a qualified coin dealer
There is no such coin. Morgan dollars* were not issued until 1878. If you have a Liberty Seated dollar with that date, its value depends on its condition and mint mark: No mint mark - $400 if very worn, $1000 if moderately worn, $1600 if like new "O" mint mark - $250, $750, $1200 If you have a Morgan dollar with the date 1850 it is a counterfeit. (*) The coin is called a Morgan dollar after its designer. It carries the image of Miss Liberty, not the head of Mr. Morgan.
$15.00 to $20.00 in circulated condition.
Assuming the coin is circulated and has no mintmark, the 1881 Morgan (not a Liberty Head) dollar is a very common coin with retail values of $32.00-$39.00 depending on the grade.
