First check the back for a mintmark. It would be located beneath the "DO" in DOLLAR. It could be either an "O", an "S", a "CC", or nothing. Values as follows : If well-worn, with most fine details worn away : no-mint = $8.00 ... CC-mint = $70.00 ... O-mint = $8.00 ... S-mint = $8.00 If lightly worn, with most details in Liberty's hair and eagle's wings still visible : no-mint = $11.00 ... CC-mint = $120.00 ... O-mint = $11.00 ... S-mint = $11.00 If no visible wear, with nice mint luster and few contact marks : no-mint = $32.00 ... CC-mint = $750.00 ... O-mint = $80.00 ... S-mint = $75.00 1890 Morgan silver dollar: With no mint mark, in fine condition is worth $12.00, uncirculated is worth $35.00, proof is worth $1,600.00. With CC mint mark, in fine condition is worth $75.00, uncirculated is worth $400.00. With O mint mark, in fine condition is worth $12.00, uncirculated is worth $75.00. With S mint mark, in fine condition is worth $12.00, uncirculated is worth $75.00.
