Assuming the coin is circulated, the 1914-D Barber quarter is a fairly common date of the series. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. Most coins of this type have seen heavy use and show a lot of wear. In general retail values for low grade coins are $5.00-$19.00, better grade are $31.00-$72.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $110.00-$168.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer

With no mint mark or an "S" near the date, this coin is worth about $6 in average condition. If it has a "D" it's worth about twice as much. FWIW, the coin is called a Standing Liberty quarter. Most days, heads don't walk, LOL!
