If the wheat penny is a normal 1955 wheat penny with a bit of wear, about 5 to 10 cents. If the coin is uncirculated (mint state), it depends on just exactly how many marks (even very tiny ones can hurt the value) it has on it, the average would be anywhere from 25 cents to a few bucks or even more if the penny is pristine. However, if you have a RARE 1955 double die variety wheat penny, the value of the coin SKYROCKECTS to potentially thousands of dollars. It's practically a once-in-a-lifetime experience finding one of those, however.
