Miss Liberty
what is the vaule of a 1924 miss liberty one dollar coin
Two different one dollar coins were made in 1921. One is a Morgan dollar the other is a Peace dollar, they have very different values. The Peace dollar is the one with the higher value, this coin does have the word LIBERTY on the front above "Miss Liberty's" head and has a low value of about $75.00 in collectible condition, the Morgan has the national motto E PLURIBUS UNUM and is only worth about $30.00
Although "Miss Liberty" is seated the coin is not a Liberty Seated dollar (1840-1873), it's a 1877 TRADE DOLLAR (1873-1885) as stated on the reverse. Authentic circulated examples have retail values of $120.00- $350.00. NOTE: The entire series of these coins is known to have replicas, copy's & counterfeits.
Your coin is an Eisenhower dollar rather than a Liberty dollar. In average condition it's only worth face value. US coins are usually named for either the image they carry on their obverse (front) or for their designer rather than for the wording on them. ALL modern US coins carry the word LIBERTY or an image of Miss Liberty so that's not really a distinguishing characteristic. The last $1 coins to have a portrait of Miss Liberty on the front were struck back in 1935.

It's worth at least its silver value, around $14. But you need to be more specific because some dollar coins are worth a lot more even if very worn. Please post a new question with its date and mint mark, if you can make them out. Saying "Liberty head dollar" isn't specific enough because ALL dollar coins from 1878 to 1935 had Miss Liberty's head on the front.
