The best way to find out the value of porcelain pieces made in occupied Japan is to take them to an antique appraiser. The pieces must be stamped Occupied Japan to be verified that they actually were made in occupied Japan.

That would depend on the type of A and how it is placed on the figure. If it is stamped into the porcelain it is most likely the makers mark and denotes either the brand or the factory. If it is painted on than it would depend on if the figure is hand painted or not. If the paint is factory stamped you would need to look up the manufacturer and determine what they use the stamps for. If it's simply hand painted onto the figure than it could be an artists mark or signature.
It was made by the French China Company in Ohio between 1900 and 1916. Its worth between $10 and $40 depending on condition.
Depends on what you consider an "image". New Jersey in 1908 started attaching an embossed seal to the license plate, which has an image stamped into it. In 1910, Michigan had their State Seal figured into the porcelain enamel on their plates, until 1914, so that is a detailed image. But in 1917 Arizona stamped an image of a bull's head into their steel plates to advertise the cattle exports. Depends on what you consider an "image".
