The BSA Mercury 22 cal was made between 1972-80. It fired at 550 FPS. I am unable to state the value, you did not state the condition of the rifle. Excellent- Poor?

Depends entirely on who made it. Herter's did not make firearms other companies like Whitworth, BSA, etc. made them and branded them for Herter's
