kennedy coin 1964 how much
There's no such coin. Roosevelt is on the dime. Half dollars dated 1964 and later are Kennedy halves because they carry a picture of .... President Kennedy.
Sorry, no US dollar coins exist dated 1964. Eisenhower first appeared on the dollar coin in 1971. The coin is likely a 1964 Kennedy HALF dollar. Look at the coin again and post new question.
Priceless. The last Franklin half is dated 1963. All half dollars dated 1964 and later carry a portrait of President John F. Kennedy. Please check the coin again and post a new question.
Yes, banks will accept any Kennedy half dollar. However, anything dated before 1971 contains silver and is worth more than face value. Those should be sold to a coin dealer, as a bank will NOT pay above face value for any coin.
$12.
John F. Kennedy 50 cent pieces feature a portrait of JFK on the obverse side of the coin. The coin was minted between 1964 and 2021. It should also have the words "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the mint mark on the coin.
All U.S. Kennedy half dollars (1964-2011) have an eagle on the reverse. A coin dated 1971 is copper-nickel and only face value.
No such coin exists that has been released for circulation. While some 1964 (D) silver (peace) dollars were minted, the all of them were melted shortly after being struck. There is however a Kennedy HALF dollar that is worth about $12.25 because it is silver dated 1964.

The 1964 Kennedy is very common, unless it's a super high grade coin the value is just for the silver, about $12.00.
Check that coin again. Kennedy wasn't put on the half dollar until 1964.
It's worth exactly 50 cents.
