100-400 USD
@ 1982.
Sounds to me that you have a smith and Wesson mod-12.These fine .38 special revolvers are selling for 200-300 dollars depending on the overall condition of the gun.
I paid $425 for a working model 19 pinned and recessed with 90% of the blue, and pachmayer grip.
Early S&W revolvers (up until sometime in the 1970's, I believe) had a cross pin through the barrel just forward of the forcing cone to prevent the barrel from unscrewing. The cross pin was deleted from the design as not needed.
The sn you have listed would be appropriate for a Model 60 made in @1974.
All were pinned

Approximately $150. The actual amount, though, will depend on how much someone is willing to pay for it. Some factors like: barrel length, age or modification number, and finish may also affect the value!
very carefully... :) Seriously, take it to a gunsmith. The barrel is probably pressed into the receiver and pinned.

The 29-3 was the first of the M 29 revolvers without the pinned barrel and recessed cylinders. It was transitional to the somewhat heavier lugged "hunting" versions that followed. The 29-3 began to incorporate the "endurance" package that was brought in completely on the 29-4. It was produced from the early 80s through about 87-88.
She pinned the flower to his lapel. They pinned the dress up to allow her to walk through the grass without getting stains on it.
