There is no fixed answer to this question. Rental car prices in general (and not just at Enterprise) are extremely volatile and change from day to day. Although Enterprise does have a regional "standard retail", this is used as a baseline from which to adjust the rates according to other factors. Those factors may include:
- day of the week (Fridays and Saturdays are very busy. Tuesday less so)
- holidays (lots of people traveling)
- number of that car type available at a particular branch/region (if we have 6 pickup trucks on our lot, we'll probably be eager to rent them for less than the nominal rate)
- the particular area or market demographic the branch serves (some parts of the country are much more expensive to live in than others; a branch in San Francisco is likely to charge more for the same car than a branch in Lubbock, TX)
- whether or not the rental is a reservation (as opposed to a walk-in)
Basically this all boils down to demand vs. supply.
I have seen an economy car go out for as little as $9.99/day when there is a weekend promotion going on (there is a limited number of these available). I have seen a BMW X5 SUV go out for more than $150/day.
A walk-in may cost you a lot more than an advance reservation (if they even have a car for you). Rental branches (except the airport locations) run on a very tight margin and they move cars around within a region to accommodate expected daily customers. My branch usually has a few extra for unexpected walk-ins (such as people getting in an accident and needing a car from their body shop).
Generally speaking, if money is no object, they will get a car for you. :) But to ensure that you get a car at a price you can afford, an advance reservation is the best idea.
That depends on where you are, type of car and type of rent. In my area you can rent cars quite cheaply, but also pay a fee based on mileage. Alternatively you can pay a higher basic fee ands get unlimited mileage.
It's generally quite affordable. It is possible to obtain rates at or around $123, or slightly less than that for 5 days.
That's going to be entirely dependent on the rental agency, the type of vehicle you're getting, the location where you're renting the vehicle, and how much it'll cost to insure you.
In CA it's just 5 days after the agreed upon return date.
Assuming a constant rate and no discounts for long rental (ie the total rental is proportional to the number of days): Work out rental for 1 day and then you can calculate how much 8 days will cost: 160 for 5 days ⇒ 160 ÷ 5 for 1 day = 32 for 1 day ⇒ 32 x 8 = 256 for 8 days.
$104.00 is the cost of renting a car from Fast Cars if the rental fee is 11.00 per day for five days 0.24 a mile for gasoline and 5.
about 5$
Most major car rental companies offer incentive discounts, including a discount for older customers. Discounts range from 5% to 20% off the cost of the rental.
There are ten different rental car options at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. A shuttle bus runs every 5 minutes, and it takes approximately 10 minutes to get to the car rental center. Some of your options there are Avis, Enterprise and Hertz.

Rental car managers get free cars, gas, insurance. They just need to change cars every 3 to 5 days... But ALWAYS IN A NEW CAR!
To find the cheapest car rental rates online I recommend using a site such as www.orbitz.com, www.travelocity.com, or www.priceline.com. Once you find the cheapest car rental rate, go to that specific rental company's website and enter the exact same data (dates, times, duration of rental etc). Sometimes you can save yourself the $5 or so rate that the search websites charge rental companies for listing their cars. If not, use the cheap rate you found at orbitz, travelocity, priceline etc and enjoy your car rental!
$975.00 for a car and about 599.00 for a motorcycle from San Diego, CA on Pafsa
