The 2001 BMW 325 crankshaft position sensor can be found on the back of the engine. The position sensor will be near the bottom of the rear engine cover.

There's a sensor in the bottom of the coolant expansion tank.
It gauges the revs of the crankshaft (thats the rpm you see on your speedometer)
I have a bmw 330ci and that takes a quart i think so maybe a quart.

You will need to use 5w30 synthetic oil in your BMW e90 320i. The brand name doesn't matter, just as long as it is 5w30 synthetic.
