If it is dated 1964 or before, about $2.25 for silver melt value (it would be 90% silver) if it is dated 1965 or later, it contains no silver and is only worth 10 cents regardless of condition.

With silver at $41.07 per ounce, that puts the value of the coins minted from 1946 to 1964 at $2.79 each.

Minted and saved in the millions, today only "Uncirculated" coins are widely collected. These are described as bright, like new, no wear and virtually mark free. Anything less and they trade at the silver value.
