How much a flea comb costs depends on the brand, and store where you buy it.

Be warned that, if your rabbit has fleas, a flea comb will not solve your problem. You may be able to remove some fleas and eggs with it, but others will always remain. However, many of the pet products on the market designed to kill fleas are toxic for rabbits, so you can't use those, either. If your rabbit has fleas, you must bring him or her to a vet who has experience with rabbits.

How can you deflea kittens?

Depending on the age of the kitten, some deflea medicines are toxic to a kitten. Some sprays can be used on younger kittens, but most spot-on treatments are only safe for kittens aged 12 weeks or older. The safest and best alternative to chemical flea treatments is using a flea comb twice a day, and to treat the house by cleaning carpets, bedding, and any other fabric daily or once a week. Be sure to put a flea collar in the vacuum cleaner bag, or remove the bag after every use as flea eggs and larvae will grow rapidly in the warm conditions.

Do rabbits have nits?

no but they can get fleas so cheak your rabbit regularly by buying a special flea comb that you can buy in most pet shops for a cheap amount of money and if your rabbit has got fleas then go to a pet shop or local veterinary surgery and buy him/her some drops to put on your rabbits neck and the fleas should all die and you should also buy some spray for your house to kill them in your house if you have had your rabbit in your house .

How do you kill fleas on bunnies?

For adult rabbits, AdvantageTM (imidocloprid) is one of several safe treatments used to prevent and kill fleas, and is available from any rabbit-savvy veterinarian. However, you should not use such products on a rabbit before it is fully weaned, as it may be too toxic for a baby. Do not use any flea products on a rabbit unless a special "rabbit-savvy" vet has told you to.You could also consider a flea comb for regular maintenance. It may take more time and patience but is non-toxic, and most rabbits learn to love the attention of being combed. So it has physical and psychological rewards for both you and your pet.

Can you treat a rabbits fur mites with flea dip?

No, you should not treat fur mites with flea dip. Take your rabbit to the vet, the vet will then be able to treat your rabbit properly. Mine was given three shots spread out for about a month, a spray for the infected area (her back mostly) and I gave her baths twice a week and it solved the problem. Flea dips can harm your rabbit and other flea medications for other animals such as dogs and cats can be harmful as well.

How do you determine if a cat has fleas?

Put the cat on a clean, well-lit surface like a table or a clean patch of floor. Comb its fur with a fine-toothed comb. If you see little brown specks falling out onto the floor or table, and in the comb, then the cat has fleas. The little brown specks are flea poop.

Can you put flea drops on a small rabbit?

No - the concentration for medication for dogs is pretty high since most dog breeds are not that sensitive to the side effects of pyrethrins. However, rabbits may be much more sensitive, so you would risk serious side effects or even death to use dog flea powder on a rabbit.
