How much is a 1965 “100 cien pesetas bill worth?

The value of a 1965 "100 cien pesetas" bill can vary depending on its condition, rarity, and demand among collectors. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, these bills might have some collector's value, but they are not typically worth a significant amount. In circulated condition, they might be worth a few dollars, while bills in pristine condition or with unique features could potentially be worth more to collectors. To determine the precise value of your specific bill, it's essential to consult with a numismatist or currency collector who can assess its condition and any unique characteristics. Additionally, market conditions can change over time, so it's a good idea to check with reputable currency auction houses or online platforms that specialize in currency collectibles for the most up-to-date pricing information.

How much is 100 cien pesetas worth?

you mean pesos? well... about 8 bucks. The question is regarding pesetas, not pesos. I have a paper bill from El Banco De Espana (The Bank of Spain) which also is cien pesetas printed in Madrid and dated 7 de Abril de 1953 (April 7, 1953). On one side is a picture of Julio Romero de Torres. On the reverse is a picture of a young woman leaning on what appears to be a water or wine carrier. To her left is a white circle which at a glance appears to be maybe the moon. But, if you hold the bill up to the light there is an image of what looks like an old lady. This can be seen on either side. Unfortunately from what I have been able to research so far, this bill is worth very little, if anything at all. Apparently when The Bank of Spain went defunct, so did its currency and coins.

What is the value of a el banco de espana cien pesetas Madrid 100 dollar bill be?

The short answer - about 89 US cents as of late April 2011. The longer answer - "El Banco de Espana" means "The Bank of Spain" and refers to that nation's central bank. "Cien Pesetas" means 100 pesetas. The peseta is no longer legal tender in Spain, having been replaced by the Euro as of January 1, 2002, at a rate of 1 Euro = 166.382 pesetas. However, all Peseta bills issued after 1939, as well as some coins, remain exchangable into Euros at branches of the Bank of Spain (you can send them by registered mail if you are outside the country). 100 Pesetas exchanges to about 60 Euro Cents, which equates (as of late April 2011) to about 89 US Cents, so its not likely to be worth the expense to mail it in.
