Thinking about it, there really isn't any absolute way to know. Their ID system depends pretty much on you. If you check your bag at the ticket counter, the stubs from the ID tags for your bag are stapled to your ticket envelope. If it's your ticket, the assumption is that it is your bag. You are required to put your name and address on the bag-in the little ID pocket. That name & info could be matched to your personal ID. The fact that you claim the bag and are dragging it through the airport leads again to the assumption that it is yours. Maybe I'm missing something, because none of these things are fool proof. Interesting, isn't it. As to age, do you mean the age of the bag or the age of the person claiming the bag?!
