An 1816 capped bust quarter is easily worth $100 or more. However, if the date 1816 is just below the word Indiana and has a picture of a race car, then it's a modern state quarter and is worth 25 cents.
If you have a "Silver Coin" dated 1816, it's not a U.S. coin. The only coin issued by the United States in 1816 was a Large Cent.
