August 2, 2009 The 1875 Seated Liberty dime was produced at 3 US Mints; Philadelphia which is shown as 1875-P; Carson City which is shown as 1875-CC; San Francisco which is shown as 1875-S. The 1875 Seated Liberty dime was also struck in 2 varities, one with the mint mark just above the bottom of the wreath and one with the mint mark just below the wreath. To determine which coin you have it is necessary to locate this mint mark. It can be found on the reverse [ tails] side of the coin either just above or just below the bottom of the wreath. If there is no mint mark, the coin was minted at Philadelpha, an "S" is San Francisco and "CC" is Carson City.
