A bit dated, but I bought an Iver Johnson M-1 30 caliber for protection on my charter boat for two hundrend dollars in 1981. The seller threw in a hundred rounds or maybe two hundred. He told me how to file it down to make it fully automatic but I never did that. It saved me from pirates in a desolate part of the mid Bahamas but I had only to display it and draw down on the approaching pirates and they knew to turn away. Ran in to some trouble with a drunken passenger in the British Virgin Islands later and he threatened to report me to the Coast Guard for an unregistered gun. This forced me to a quick sale for a hundred bucks to a friendly native in the British Virgins. Sure wish I could get that gun back.
