This is what I was able to get from the Ford motor company manual:
The overall capacity for the 2.0 and the 3.0 is 61L (16 gallons) the average is 2 gallons for a typical reserve but it is very wise to keep at least 1/2 a tank in you car as you have an"in Tank" fuel pump wich relies on the Gasoline as a coolant and greatly extends the life of your pump.
Lift the hatchback and remove the 2 screws holding in the taillight assembly. You can then access the light bulbs from the rear.
The Data Link Connector for the 2004 Ford Escape is located on the lower left side of the dash. If you sort of stick your head under there and look up, you can't miss it!
On a 2004 Ford Explorer : The ( LOW tire pressure warning light ) is below and to the left of the tachometer
Under the hood, on the front of the engine, on the left hand side. It's the bit that has wires running to it.
Just keep moving your cursor: wave it around, move it left and right, and slowly the letters "ESCAPE" will light up one-by-one.
My light comes on when I have about 3 gal. of fuel left.
Check to see if you have a defective bulb. Turn signals/parking lights, and tailights a double filament, if one is bad (Both filaments touching) they will backfeed
Just keep moving your cursor: wave it around, move it left and right, and slowly the letters "ESCAPE" will light up one-by-one.
Left of the steering wheel on the dash area below the mirror adjuster
the left most square button under the radio - it has a red triangle on the button
Read the owner's manual.
