For a jet plane, it is impossible to find out the exact cost of an airplane, because there are two prices, the list price and the real price. The list price is the price that the airplane companies say they charge, for example the Boeing 737-700's list price is 58,000,000 dollars, but the real price has discounts that can change the price of the 737 dramatically, most of the airlines get big discounts and they much less than the list price. You can find out the list price of an airplnae from company websites, but the airlines and the company keep the actual price secret so there is no possible way to find out the real price that airlines pay without just happening to be a multi-millinare with 60 million dollars lying around!
