It depends on the types of apple juice that you buy.

Check the label that is behind your juice container.

In the juicing industry, this is called the fruit to juice index (FJI). It varies a little, but a good estimation can be made by multiplying the weight of the apple times the FJI for the type. Apples are abbreviated ap, Oranges oj, strawberries sb, etc... on the FJI chart. The chart almost explains itself, but finding the correct one can sometimes be a problem.

For example, lets say you have a Braeburn type apple.

Steps

1) Weigh it in the standard unit of grams.

2) Find its index relative to the type and shape on the FJI chart.

3) Multiply the weight times the index value to get the amount of juice per fruit.

4) Divide the desired quantity by the juice per fruit number and you can estimate the quantity of fruit you'll need.

5) Add in an error factor of about 10% if you're not doing this commercially since not all juicers are created alike.

6) Juice your fruit and enjoy!

i'm guessing one apple yields 2 ounces. If one lemon produces 1 ounce of juice. And one orange produces 3 ounces of juice. i think it's safe to say an apple yields a minimum of 2 ounces of juice.

You get about 2/3 of the weight of the apple in juice, but the results differ depending on how you are extracting the juice.
