Fukushima generated 3,400 MW on average.
One of the world's largest solar power plants is Agua Caliente Solar Project, which generates 626 GW·h / yr = 71 MW on average.
So it would take 48 of the world's largest solar power plants to replace the Fukushima plant. Agua Caliente takes up 2,400 acres, so the total amount of land area required to replace Fukushima with solar panels is 2400*48 = 114,500 acres, which is about half the area of Hong Kong, or 132 times the area of the Fukushima plant.
Solar panels are used to make electricity. The energy that panels use to make energy therefore is solar energy.
They are affected by sunlight.
The sun light hits a solar panel which in turn works by allowing photons, or particles of light, to knock electrons free from atoms, generating a flow of electricity. Solar panels actually comprise many, smaller units called photovoltaic cells.
solar generation which gets energy from the sun using solar panels and wind generation which gets energy by windmills.
Just fine thanks to solar panels, windmills, and electric vehicles.
Fukushima Generates around 13,000 Mega watts of electricity. You need 434 Solar Panels for 1 Mega Watts. Calculation 434 Multiplied by 13,000 Equals to 5,642,000 Solar Panels. Cost of 1 solar panel 3,500 $ So 3,500 Multiplied by 5,642,000 = 14,747,000,000 USD. A single Nuclear Powerplant costs 400 Million USD.
coal, oil, and gas for electricity and transportation. Solar power and panels replace all fossil fuels and are much better for the earth.
Yes if you maintain the solar panels, they should pay for themselves way before you have to replace them. Solar panels are a good investment for almost everyone with a house.
Insurance cover is different for many places and individuals. You have to check with your insurance company is solar panels are covered.
yeah some people have their whole cars covered in them
no but solar panels are in solar calculators
Solar panels is correct.
An installation of solar panels.
In general solar panels are not hot. when panels are heated by the sun rays panels get hot
The panels on a space probe are called solar panels. Solar panels are panels that turn light into energy so astronauts and cosmonauts do not need to change the batteries. Not only do space probes have solar panels, some cars, houses, and all sorts of electronics can use solar panel. Solar panels do not pollute. This is why they use solar panels.

My guess is that integrating solar panels into pre-existing energy networks would be difficult and costly. You also have to wonder how many solar panels we would need to replace the electricity we use. I imagine it would take very many solar panels just to keep a corporate building in power. I assume there would also be much protest towards solar panels coming from the electric companies. If we all switched to solar, the electric companies would either go out of of business or be forced to convert.
