What reason did the US government have for pushing the american indians west?

They wanted to own the land.

When did congress grant all Indians American citizenship?

In the year of 1887. They used the Dawes Act and forced the Indians to become farmers (which they were hunters and traders) and settle in families instead of tribes in separate pieces of land. The Indians were given bad land that couldn't be used to grow crops and sometimes they were cheated out of their own land. Then, by the late 1960s, the U.S. government gave ALLIndians pieces of land that could ONLY belong to the Indians and they were taught school stuff like money. Now Indians can go to stores to get what they need, get jobs, and drive cars!(this was all from an 8th grader from CIA and most of it was from my own learning today only a few hours ago)

Why did the Indians sign the Treaty of fort greenville in 1795?

The Indians simply wanted peace. Also, they probably had no idea what any of this treaty meaned, concerning there were not too many translators. The Indians could not understand how anyone could "own" land, and this frutrated them how the Americans blatantly took land from them.

How did the Indians get to America?

IMPROVED ANSWER:The first Indians came to the Americas from Asia more than 20,000 years ago. Some scientists think they arrived at least 40,000 years ago. At the time they came, huge ice sheets covered much of the northern half of the earth. As a result, much of the earth that is now under water was dry land when the Indians came from Asia. One such area was the Bering Strait, which today separates Asia and North America. The Indians, following the animals that they hunted, wandered across this land, a distance of about 50 miles. By the time Christopher Columbus arrived, Indians were living in the New World from the Far North all the way to the southern tip of South America.First off Indians and Mexicans alike are all from Korean. Indians came from Korea millions of years ago they were following there food which was the wholly mammoths and they crossed over during the last ice age which was over the ice bridge which came from china to Alaska and later made there own civilization. If you don't know yet Columbus founded the new world and he called the people that lived there Indians because he thought he had went to India. Mexicans are in fact Indians if you have a full blooded Indian and Mexican in front of you how would you tell them apart only by the way they talk. The only reason Mexicans have there different language is because they were cut off by there sister tribes in America. Just like the Indians had a different language than the British or French.
