At fertilization there is no embryo. The fertilized egg doesn't instantly just pop into a little baby. The fertilized egg, which is still an egg, attaches itself into the wall of the uterus (which is normally shed during menstruation), this process is called implantation. You may experience 1-3 days of light bleeding at this time. After implantation, the cells in the egg divide and divide and divide etc. Then the divided cells begin to merge back together which is the beginning of the formation of the fetus at week 4. So there is quite a huge difference from fertilization until week four.
