The profession is driven by the market and by the skill of the inspector to sell himself to the Buyer and/or the Agent. The top end individual Inspectors in the DFW area can expect to make the 70 to 100 K range plus. I personally don't enjoy doing that many inspections these days and stay around the 60k range. I work around 25 to 30 hrs a week on an average.

It can be a VERY hard start and most have some other trade in there back ground to fall back on if needed.
