No,if there was less censorship i feel society as a whole would be able to deal with their problems instead of taking pills for them. In my opinion censorship=ignorance we should be able to see and hear what we want,if you don't want to see or hear it,don't watch or listen! The United States takes what is handed to them by the government instead of demanding what they want.
The people would gain the idea that the government is the answer to everything, using totalitarian tactics such as censorship, media bans, violence, etc..
