Usually the City where the death occurs pays for a homeless persons funeral and burial if the person has no relatives or family found to claim the body. The City gets the money from taxes of the public in the city.

Homeless people often times have no jobs, so it is very difficult for them to buy food. Or if they do have a job, they need the money for other things like bills. Many people have trouble buying enough food, even if they are not homeless. Poverty is a big problem, and it's always good to donate money, food, and even your services to local food shelters. =]

Homeless shelters provide the homeless with a warm home, food and water. The homeless are very gratfull even if it is only for 1 night. They also sometimes just give them some sparemoney if they have ran out of rooms and can not reacomend any where else.
